Discipline Policy

Fit n’ Fun is a positive environment that keeps the children busy with constructive activities. The staff defines and maintains reasonable rules and limits for the children. They model and encourage appropriate behavior. Positive redirection is used consistently. If inappropriate behavior occurs, staff will encourage and instruct the child to resolve the inappropriate behavior in an acceptable way. If inappropriate behavior continues, a quiet time is used where the child sits away from the group in the room for no more that a three minute period where they are able to watch appropriate behavior. The child may join back in the activities when he/she has acknowledged an understanding of what is appropriate behavior. If inappropriate behavior becomes excessive the child is sent to the front office and the parent may be called to pick him/her up.
